Welcome to Watersedge Kenmare

Wild Atlantic WayWatersedge is a purpose built B&B nestled in the Sheen Falls woods and is just 10 min walk along the waterfront to Kenmare Town. Our bedrooms are finished to a very high standard. All our rooms are ensuite with power showers, hair dryers, flat screen television and DVD. The beds are fully orthopaedic and floors contain hollow core concrete sound proofing.
There is hot tea / coffee and biscuits available all day in our guest dining room which overlooks the harbour. We have an extensive library with books, local maps and a large selection of DVDs. We also have cards, chess and other board games to enjoy.
Our garden deck is a great place to relax with a good book and a coffee. Please make our home your home. Breakfast time is special at Watersedge, we have a large breakfast menu to suit all tastes and needs including home baked scones and bread, our own smoked salmon, locally made cheese and of course the traditional hot breakfast.
A typical guest review. "If you want to stay in a B&B that provides tasty food, helpful hosts and boasts an excellent location, Waters Edge in Kenmare is the place for you. We receive a stream of excellent feedback from our walkers who hike the Beara Way and who stay here, telling us how kind and friendly Noreen is and how hearty the food is. We have no hesitation in recommending that you stay at Waters Edge in Kenmare."

Our Reviews

We only stayed one night but wish it was longer. We had a lovely room with a view over the trees to the river and Kemare town. The facilities were modern and clean. Our room was large and there was plenty of parking. Our host was very welcoming and helpful and we had a scrumptious breakfast overlooking the gardens. Highly recommended. Beautiful location with views over Kenmare bay, warm welcome from Noreen and her gorgeous dog Belle. Clean and comfortable accommodation, fabulous power shower. Early breakfast accommodated as we were taking part in the Ring of Beara, also safe housing for our bikes and a quick cycle to the start line or the option to join the cycle from the house as it sits on the Beara side of the bridge. Very convenient for walking into town for a nice meal and some drinks no need for the car. Great value! Highly recommend! S S S S S

Watersedge Guesthouse was a lovely place to stay. The proprietor, Noreen, and her new dog, Belle, were warm and welcoming. There's a secret path through the woods in back of the house, down to a bridge and into the town, making a stay in Kenmare even more fun. We would enthusiastically recommend a stay here. S S S S S

What a great place to relax and take a break from the hectic business of traveling. I absolutely loved the solitude. Noreen was wonderful and made me feel right at home. I was going to arrive late and called to tell her. She was going out for the evening and made arrangements for me to let myself in. I was greeted by Bella, Noreen's dog. I just felt like I was visiting with relatives. I couldn't have been more comfortable. Wateredge is a little out of the way, but the signs are well posted and the view of the water is magnificent! I would love to come back for another visit. S S S S S

Fabulous views from a warm, comfortable room. Beautiful bathroom, huge luxurious bed and central heating. Noreen also provides excellent advice and care as well as a top notch breakfast. A short, pretty walk to town and then back to the peace of the harbour. It even has Belle the happy puppy if you are feeling dog deprived. S S S S S

We were warmly welcomed and made comfortable after a long drive. The B&B is not in the heart of town, so a car is recommended for those who don't like to hike. That said, the views of the Kenmare River and valley are beautiful, and the breakfast room is situated to take advantage of them. There's also a large deck overlooking the river. The breakfast was ample, with a buffet for cereals, juice, etc., and a choice of hot foods. One of us had perfectly fluffy scrambled eggs and the other a nicely done omelet. The room was well-appointed and the bed was comfortable. Good place for a quiet night with a short drive to town. S S S S S
